IPOB Members Arrested In Anambra

Some IPOB members canvassing for the boycott of this weekend's scheduled elections have been arrested. Over the past few weeks, Anambra State has been littered with banners and fliers cajoling and threatening people not to participate in the voting, a protest was also held in Onitsha last week.

Earlier today, there was a rumored bomb scare at the INEC Headquarters in
Awka but details are still sketchy.

Already, a strong contingent of soldiers and policemen have been deployed to the state as preparations hit top gear. IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had months earlier declared 18th November as "Ofe Nsala Day" urging Ndi-Anambra to sit at home in defiance, insisting on a referendum on Biafra.

However, the excitement and active participation of Ndi-Anambra during the ongoing campaign indicates that the "Ofe Nsala Day" will not hold successfully. See more pictures below
