Bike tourists, randonneurs, and mixed terrain commuters will be excited to meet Breezer’s new Doppler line of adventure bikes for 2018. Designed to appeal to “everyday adventurers,” the butted-chromoly steel bike is coming next month.
The Doppler is designed to fill out Breezer’s extensive new adventure line, which also includes the more race-oriented Inversion and the Radar, intended to be the brand’s Swiss-Army knife bike. The bike’s classic road bike touring geometry and steel frame set it apart as a more comfortable, traditional gravel option.
With distance-friendly features like fork mounts, 650b tires, and tubeless-compatible wheels with disc thru axles, all three Doppler models are ready to find the nearest gravel road and see where it ends.
The Doppler Pro comes with Shimano Tiagra 2x10 speed and TRP hydraulic disc brakes, and is expected to appeal more toward bike tourists and randonneurs, as well as commuters who appreciate the bike’s classic touring look. All the Doppler bikes are designed to hold up under the load of panniers or frame packs.
