Romelu Lukaku who signed for
Manchester United from Everton in a deal worth £75m, scored his first goal in a
Manchester United shirt, in a friendly match against Real Salt Lake.
The game saw Manchester United
concede the first goal in the 20th minutes and also a red card for Antonio
Valencia coupled with a Juan Mata injury.
An impressive Lingard helped
Manchester United come back into the game as
he had a hand in Henrikh
Mkhitaryan's 29th minute equaliser as well as Lukaku’s goal in the
38th minute.
Speaking after the game Mourinho
said, "[Lukaku's goal] is nice for him but not important for me,"
He also spoke about the delay in
the match before Antonio Valencia was sent off for a tackle on Saucedo.
He said, "The delay was
because the referee asked me to change the players and I didn't because I don't
agree with the card,"
