English champions Chelsea FC has
completed the signing of french international midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko from
french champions, AS Monaco in a deal worth £40m.
The 22 year-old becomes Antonio
Conte’s second signing of the transfer window after the acquisition of German
defender, Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma.
Bakayoko who was instrumental for
AS Monaco as they won the Ligue 1 title,
signed a five years contract with the
Blues and has been issued the number 14 jersey.
He said: "I am very happy to
be here and to join this great team. I have grown up watching Chelsea.
Signing was the natural thing for
me because it is a club I loved very much in my childhood.
I am now looking forward to
evolving under this fantastic coach [Antonio Conte] and alongside so many great
team-mates."
