The 47 years old Italian whose contract with Chelsea expires in 2019 has signed a new contract with the English Champions. The contract though is an improvement to the contract the manager previously signed with the English giants in 2016 and is still expected to run till 2019.
There were recent concerns as to if the Chelsea manager was staying in the Premier League with many reports suggesting he fancied a move to Italy but, Conte has moved to back up comments he made in May about his desire tostay at Chelsea, as he has improved his previous contract, cooling talks of a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte spoke of his delight at signing the contract as he said, "I am very happy to have signed a new contract. We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top."
He added that, "The Chelsea fans have given me so much support since I arrived here one year ago and it is important we continue to succeed together."
Speaking on the contract, Chelsea Director, Marina Granovskaia said, "Antonio achieved incredible success last season, adapting to English football very quickly and leading us to the Premier League title,"
