Do You Drive A Volkswagen Car? Over 800,000 Has Been Recalled

Over 800,000 Volkswagen cars staggering to a potential treat of $40 billion emissions fine is adding to the misery of Volkswagen group due to a small clip in the pedal assembly.

Some 391,000 VW Touaregs (17,219 of them in the UK) and 409,477 Porsche Cayennes (including 14,600 UK cars) that were built between 2011 and 2016 are being recalled to fix
“a circlip (that) could be loose on the bearing bracket for pedals”.

Official statement from VW Group, Porsche noted that "the problem was found during internal inspections and remedied in the ongoing series”. Porsche dealers will be contacting owners directly to arrange a free of charge workshop appointment “as quickly as possible”. The work is expected to take less than half an hour.

The problem is common to both the Cayenne and the Touareg because they are built on the same basic platform.
