Just As Expected, Adele’s ’25’ Breaks Record for Most Albums Sold in One Week

Adele’s 25 album has spent only 4 days in stores, but has already broken the record for most album sales in a single week.
We knew it was going to happen, but Adele’s ’25’ has OFFICIALLY broken
the U.S. record for most albums sold in a single week.
Adele’s album, thus far, has sold a whopping 2,433,000 copies and beat the previous record held by *NSYNC who sold 2,416,000 units of their album No Strings Attached back in 2000.

The record for most album sales in an opening week previously belonged to boy band N-Sync, whose 2000 album, No Strings Attached, sold 2.41 million copies in its opening week.
One of the factors which propelled Adele to the huge record was her decision to remove her album from streaming sites, which have slowed down album sales in recent years.
The last artiste to cross the million-mark in the first week was Taylor Swift, whose 2014 album 1989, opened with 1.3 million copies.
