FCT Minister Seeks Synergy With Media For A Transparent Administration

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Musa Bello, has called for synergy between the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the media for a successful policy interpretation and administration.
This is even as he appointed the chairman of
the FCT Press Corps, Alhaji Abubarkar Sani, as Special Assistant on Media.
The minister announced the appointment yesterday while familiarizing with members of the Press Corps.

He called for support for a successful administration of the Territory, saying that the media “are the eye and the ears of the society.”
He noted that the media plays an important role and is a major stakeholder in governance, promising to continue to partner with all stakeholders to build on the existing infrastructure and services.
In his remarks, FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye, thanked the Minister for initiating the meeting, stressing that “this has, indeed, made the relationship between the FCT Administration and the media very simple.”
The new SA Media commended the Minister for his track record, while piloting the affairs of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
Until his appointment, Sani was the Bureau Chief of NewsDay.
