FCT Minister & Kuje Community In Abuja Quarrels Over Citing of Ebola Treatment Center

The FCT Minister and the Kuje Area Council dwellers in Abuja, the Nigerian Capital are in a serious dispute over the citing of Ebola virus treatment center which is said to be located within the General Hospital Premises.

The chairman of the community Ishaku Shaban Tete, while speaking on behalf of the residence showed his dismay at the decision of the FCT Minister, Mohammed Bala who is determined to cite the center within the area council
In quote, the chairman said, “Bringing Ebola centre to such crowded hospital will amount to mass murder because if it catches one person, be rest assured that it will spread rapidly to all the residents".

Replying the chairman's objection, Bala Mohammed said: “I will hold you responsible for the success of the project. And I warn you that nothing should happen to stop it!”

Meanwhile, the youths in the community have also expressed their dissatisfaction over citing the center in their community and vowed to resist it with their lives saying: “We are ready to lay down our lives for the welfare and health of the people of Kuje, instead of allowing such thing happen with our eyes wide opened,”
