For two popes to be alive at the same time and in each others company is the first of its kind in more than 6oo years. It is a known fact that one would have to die before the other takes over. Pope Francis, who flew to Castel Gandolfo to visit the retired pope Benedict XVI who is now living in the papal villa since his official retirement on the 28 of February, after praying together in the chapel, they shared a private lunch.
